Animal Kingdom Opening Media Event

Being part of the media sometimes has its perks. Here’s a pass for a media event at Walt Disney World. This was an enormous event over an entire weekend. The media preview showcased the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney Quest. In addition, the event had sneak peaks of Mulan, which was created in Orlando, Florida on the backlot of Walt Disney World. There haven’t been many media events that I’ve been to that have been to this scale, we were treated very well.

Disney Quest – Interstitials

This was a very fun project to produce. I worked with Disney marketing to build awareness and show off Disney Quest and to use to help promote a block of kids programming. I decided on going with a game show production, bringing in viewers to compete on the games at the venue. I also cast a duo of two great young actors to host the events and provide bumps, opens, teases, and promos for the event.

I utilized quite a few cameramen and crew to capture the multiple teams competing simultaneously. The production took place during the week and at a non-peak time, so, we pretty much had the run of the place and everyone that was there enjoyed watching the friendly competition.
